Reason 2: Cookies need deleting:
Solution: At the top of your browser you will see "Tools" (under the blue bar) click this and then select "Internet Options", under the "General" tab you will see a button that says "Delete Cookies".

Reason 3: You are trying to use spaces in your username or password:
Solution: change your username or password.

Question: Running Inplaymaster Bot
Trying to install the application, and get the following message (after extracting the zipped files), and try to "open" my application.

This is normally associated with possibly 3 things.

1.0 You have not unzipped it propely or when you have the files have not been kept together in one folder.

2. You haven't instaled V1.1 .Net (as explained in known issues).

3. Norton Firewall is blocking the programme.

Question: how do i select the english market for the australian version of the grey horse sw
i am in australia and have the australian version of the greyhorse bot. how do i select the english greyhound markets. all that comes up when i try to load a market is 2 greyhound races in australia from 2 days ago

You can not use the Australian bot on the English market, it is for the Australian Market. This is only to cover betfairs wallet system where you have to transfer money to your AUstralian wallet to bet on Australian events.

Question: BetFair Account existing bets
Hi

I am just about to download the software and register my betfair account. On my standard account I have a number of open bets....will this effect the way the software runs or do i need to open a totally seperate account to run this software. Also i would want to be able to use my betfair account during racing for other bets

Hi alan,

This should not effect the bot.

However what you could do is once logged in, and have your races selected within the software.

You can click file > start, and this will scan the races and bet accordingly to your options. then click start > stop. This will stop the betting, minimise the bot, and you can then goto the betfair website and bet as per normal.

Question: Logging On
I get "Login failed: INVALID_USER_NAME_OR_PASSWORD" when I try to log on to the Bot. This happens when I use my Bot user name.
I thought perhaps it expects the BetFair login,(it doesn't specify) so I tried that: I get

Please see the Known Issues in the "user manual".

You will get this message util your username is authenticated against betfairs API.

This normally takes a couple of hours but could be longer at weekends.

In the sales literature for Inplaymaster, it mentioned that as a bonus, a user guide and strategy book would be available to show us the exact methods used by the author to make money with this bot.

Question: choosing the right odds to lay
Hi. Today was my first days paper trading with inplaymaster. 2 meetings where cancelled, leaving only southwell on. All of the races to be fair, were all class 5 + 6's. I got seven out of two races correct. I am laying rather than backing, using the following settings: if front runner between 1.10 and 1.60, but dont fire bet if 2nd runner is between 1.10 and 3.50, then lay the worst horse between 4.00 and 10.00. You say in the manual that you are getting a real view of the race. But now i disagree, I think the market over-reacts enormously, and this is what is catching me out or that the race isn't long enough, all races done where under 1.4miles, mostly 7 furlongs, causing the odds to fluctuate constantly, which makes me think this cannot work. So my question is, should I be focusing on longer races, 2m+? should I be using this on handicap races?. I presume since you/the owner had the bot custom built for him, that he must be making a packet for him to go on and sell it. I do like the idea of the software, and believe it can work with correct settings so I would also like to know general settings which have been proven to work. Im not trying to steal ideas, and use them exactly how the owner/someone who makes decent money with this, but a better more descriptive guideline than what the manual provides, I assumed when I was purchasing it I could pretty much get started, which I have done, and all that I have said which has been problematic to me could well and hopefully be because i picked the wrong races today, (class 5-6). I would also be interested into backing settings, just something which over long term is profitable (who isnt). thanks for your time, andy

yes if you can concentrate on longer races, and you should be ok on handicap races too, and only run class 1-4 races.

have a look at our hints and tips section in the manual too, which should help.

just to get you started try these settings:-

if front runner is between 1.10 - 1.35

lay the field between 5.00 - 11.00 on worst horse ticked,

this is just to paper trade and to get the ball rolling for you.

There are radio buttons at the top of the page that allow you to switch from one to the other. There should be no problem with this unless you are getting an error, or you haven't set up the races properly. Please see the manual for this.

Try this first ---

Inplaymaster needs the Microsoft .net V2.0 framework installed and although most pc’s have it installed as normal nowadays, yours may not. If you get any errors when you first try to run the Inplaymaster then it is likely this is the problem.

To install the Microsoft .net V2.0 framework then click here

If the above links do not work then go to Google.co.uk and do a search for “MS V2 .net” it is normally the top selections, make sure you get it direct from Microsoft.

If Not

Firewall.

Inplaymaster should work through a standard firewall but if you have Norton (or another) firewall control centre installed then you may have to add the inplaymaster to the allowed program list in order for it to connect to the internet through the firewall.

Login failed. LOGIN_UNAUTHORISED
This means you have not been added to Betfair’s API as an official user of the inplaymaster (or your subscription has expired) please use the form provided in the members area and note this can take up to 24hrs and longer at weekends.

Any “Exception” type error’s means you have probably not unzipped the software correctly or not installed V1.1 .net.

The application failed to initialize properly

(Oxo0000135) click OK to terminate the application.

This is an error that is caused because you have not unzipped the files properly and so you are trying to run Inplaymaster from within a zipped application. Please make sure you have downloaded and unzipped the files as per the download instructions.

We have also found that spy killers can cause the same problem.

Question: launched bot on auto mode - immediately came up with message saying ''profit loss limit exceeded''
I launched the greyhound bot on auto mode (greyhounds) and it immediately came up with a message saying "profit loss limit exceeded, bot stopped". I have tried several times and the same thing happens.

Please can you tell me what is happening?

You probably have Win or Lose streak set to "0" if you do not want to use them please set them to 999. "0" tells the bot to stop immediatly.

When I have finished putting my settings into the options box and I press OK,
ab box appears that says-----Input string was not in acorrect format.
What does this mean.
Is this stopping my system from working in a correct manner.

This means one of your settings doesn't have a number in it all boxes must have at least "0" zero.

This someties happens on the Grey Horse bot because the "Cancel Bets if NR's" box sets itself to blank.

Question: Paper trade with UltraXTRADER

Hi Malcolm,

I was just about to buy UltraXTRADER for £97 when I noticed this

"Just UltraXTRADER without data (You will have to run on live markets)"

Does this mean I will not be able to use the bot in paper trade mode anymore ?

Another question I have is : I am thinking of changing my computer in a month or so, will I be able to download and use the bot on my new computer or will I have to pay for it again ?

Ultraxtrader allows you to paper trade or live trade as part of the main package for 97 GBP.

the extra cost is for historical data that we have recorded from past games to test your scenarios against in simulation mode.

once you have payed the fee for ultratrader you will be sent a link to create a username and password for the members area of the site , from there you can download it as many times as you need

If you are talking about saving your rules setup there is a button on the rules tab, when you hit this you just have to give the file a name and UXT will save it into the correct location and format. then when you want to load the settings you just hit the load button and select the file.

Hi Malcolm

I can't find any info on how to use the new "Drifters" & "Steamers" feature in the latest GHB version. Please advise.

Also a suggestion/request please. I am using the Auto mode and like to lay more than one horse in a race depending on certain criteria. I can select postion based on runners and odds range but if I want to select more than one (e.g. 3rd and 4th ranked if odds under X) I can't do it. I am using two bots to achieve this but its still imperfect (as I actually on want to lay two horses in races with 4 runners under a certain odds) so even now I can't do what i want to do.

It would seem to be a very small change to enable GBH to select say more than one runner position 1-6 (or odds rank position) rather than just the one as at present.

Can you do this? I'm sure it would be very useful for many users.

Hi, i have read all you info and still cannot see why my bot is not placing bets. I am looking to lay favourite greyhounds between 1.01 and 8.00 with 1 to 30 runners, it monitors a race but doesn't place a bet?

Figured out what the problem is ... in the session tab of the options menu, some how the greyed out bet only in running option has been ticked , to remove it i would suggest your stop the bot, tick the go in running if not matched setting which will highlight the bet only in running option, untick the bet only in running option and then untick the go in running if not matched. the bot will then place bets as you require

hope that makes sense , if you are having problems let me know and i will send you adjusted config file back to you

Question: Bot will not log in - get remote server returned the error:405 method not allowed

I purchased the bot 3 days ago but can't get it to run properly.

I've installed Net 2.0 and allowed a couple of days to get the Betfair API properly registered but whenever I attempt to login I get the error message"remote server returned an error:(405) method not allowed".

Can you help please or arrange a refund if you can't?

This sounds like 1 of 2 things

1) do you have the bot unzipped correctly and the whole contents of the download in its own folder on your pc ? there is an in depth guide to downloading and setting up the bot in the manual, if this is the case may i suggest that you remove the bot and download and install again

2) if the problem still persists after that then i would suggest checking your firewall, as the program control area may be blocking GHB from accessing the internet.

sounds like there is a conflict between an older version. if you go to the windows control panal then add or remove programs. in there you will see microsoft.net framework v *** if you selecrt the option to remove this and then try to download v2.net from microsoft again you should be fine

If the bot is actually saying your "profit or Loss" has been reached then it thinks it has. So one of your settings on profit and loss must be wrong.

Is this the exact message you are getting?

What about the number of races before stopping have you you got those set to a low number?

Also "Stop number of races" do you have this set to a number other than "0"

If none of this helps then I would say you have a corrupted version and I would delete and download a new copy.

Hi, does this system allow you have multiple systems in play at the same time? I have tried to get it to back the place market in one copy and lay the win market in the other, but the settings in 'Options' change in both copies of the application if I have two running simultaneously?!

With regard to this , if you wish to run more than 1 bot simultaneously you will need to download another copy from the members area and run them out of separate folders , the reason for this is that running the same instance of the bot more than once from 1 folder will share your options settings between the 2 bots. setting them up from independent folders will stop this.

One other thing it is worth remembering too is that if you are betting on the same merket with more than 1 bot under the same betfair username then the 2 bots can pick up eachothers bets and get confused. if you wish to bet on the same market with 2 bots use a different betfair account with the other bot. if you wish to do this reply to me with a 2nd betfair account username to be added to your account and i can arrange this

Question: low water mark
i am trying to set the bot to make some bets this afternoon but when I press start a red box comes up saying your low watermark has been reached - the bot will bot will continue to run but all bet placements have been blocked. I can't see what it means so don't know what to change.
Can you help - its driving me mad. I have set 2 bets for the afternoon - each with different stakes and set the bot to stop at a win or loss of -23.00

The low watermark is the stop number of races setting in your pl and win loss stop settings area

if you set this to 0 it will be an infinate amount
